Spa Bathroom Floor Tile in Adair Park

This bathroom floor in an Adair Park bungalow was part of a full bathroom renovation. The client converted a small, dated bathroom into a spa-style space with a freestanding soaking tub and frameless glass shower. The floor tile is a large-format cream stone-look porcelain that runs continuously through both the main bathroom area and into the shower pan, which unifies the space visually.

The continuous floor tile from the bathroom into the shower required careful planning at the shower threshold. A linear drain was installed at the shower entry, which allowed the floor tile to slope toward it without a visible curb breaking the floor plane. The floor tile in the shower is set at a slight pitch to the drain, which requires back-buttering and careful leveling during installation.
